Just look at that CPS woman sitting there with her lies saying there is more to this case than meets the eye.I am a grandmother in Missouri trying to get guardianship of my grand daughter. Now they are making up lies about me to try to keep me from getting her.I HATE THEM ALL. All they want is to keep kids in foster care to collect the Federal money they get for it!!!!!

Our experience with CPS is also horrific! It is very convenient for them that everything is "confidential." No one can look at the court records except the parents and the lawyers. I have been blessed through a bureaucratic mistake to gain access to records I was told I should not normally have. I see missing pages where exculpatory evidence ought to be. I see important documents on our side copied so lightly they cannot be read. I see missing pages from the medical record which would help our side. WHO would look through 2,000 pages of court record to notice things like this?
ReplyDeleteThe cases are made so complex by the mountain of lies which sneak in and get repeated over and over. The volumes of social worker notes and review reports is overwhelming. There is almost nothing there from our side by comparison. Who would know this if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes?
That idea of "confidentiality" gives CPS so much power. They will not talk to someone like me, who is intelligent, well educated and extremely interested in advocating for innocent parents caught in the system, trying to get instructions and information to help the parents successfully negotiate the system. Without information, our power is severely mitigated.
One thing that happened in our case is that the first six months of counseling with a previous counselor simply got dropped from the record, except where it is mentioned in a court transcript. We heard that the counselor wrote a letter which said that he didn't think we shook our baby. But since the letter said something contrary to the judge's ruling, his letter never saw the light of day, and we never got a copy. Next report, it is stated that the parents had just begun their counseling at that point 6 months into the case with the second counselor. The first counselor is never mentioned again from that point forward.
Transparency is essential to ferret out the snakes, mistakes and indiscretions.
