We can all see the problem, but so few have any idea of what we can do about it. But that is what is unique about ParentalRights.org. We have a game plan. We have an end goal. We have a way to bring Americans together to right these wrongs in constructive ways.
That is why we would like to encourage you to set up a screening of Overruled and share this issue with your friends right away.
Overruled is the 35-minute docudrama we produced in 2011 to draw attention to these problems, and to mobilize concerned Americans to put an end to this erosion of basic parental rights through the Parental Rights Amendment. Many today have still not seen this film, and still do not know of the important need to stand up for their liberty to govern their own family. Others know of the need, but still don’t know what to do.
Our staff are not losing sight of the CRPD. When the Senate reconvenes next week, we will keep you posted on any developments in their efforts to ratify that dangerous treaty. And we encourage your continued phone calls on that issue.
But we are also asking you to schedule a showing of Overruled in your home, church, or other venue in the next few weeks. I know December can be an incredibly busy time of the year – but it also provides opportunities to talk with family or friends you don’t see for the rest of the year. And that can mean spending just one hour showing them this eye-opening film.
Or, if this month is too busy, why not set up a showing in January?
While we are hoping to register 1,000 showings all over America by December 31, they don’t have to be scheduled to occur during that time. Schedule a showing in January if you need to – just register it by December 31 to help us meet our goal!
This web page provides a step-by-step walk-through to host your own showing. In a nutshell, it involves setting a location and time, securing your copy of the movie, inviting your audience, hosting the event, and letting us know how it went.
Through your showing of Overruled, your friends can learn that there is something they can do to defend parental rights: they can join our team at ParentalRights.org to pass the proposed Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. They can call the Senate to oppose dangerous UN treaties that threaten our families. And they can volunteer at the local level to pass state statutes that will defend your parental rights here at home (until our Amendment can be passed).
Working together, we can defend parental rights. Please register your showing of Overruled today, and help your family and friends join the team!
Sincerely,
Michael Ramey
