  • Are you filing your own civil rights complaint?
  • Do you want to know how to start the process?
This workshop is aimed to provide parents, grandparents, caregivers, extended family, and advocates information regarding how families can pursue their rights against Child Protective Service agencies

Attorney Shawn McMillan will discuss relevant information pertaining to civil proceedings, including case law, articles, and strategies to empower families to defend and preserve their civil rights while in dependency, understand the law and how the work product and complaints can be easily be adapted to meet a family's particular circumstances.
  • Please note Shawn McMillan will not be there to take on any new cases or to give specific legal advice. Its purely educational.
This will be a very fortunate opportunity to hear Shawn McMillan speak on Civil rights. Many of you know Shawn from his previous lawsuits against CPS and his charitable personal efforts to empower parents with information to fight their cases on their own. A champion for helping families who can not afford legal representation by taking the time to format the group; Families against government abuse; facebook group. He has been public in calling for lawyers to join him in assisting his efforts to make CPS accountable. If you can join the event, it will be worth the time in information and knowledge on how to proceed with your cases in civil actions. (cut and paste from Lori Callies...thanks girl)

In order to get the event space, a buffet lunch will be served. The food is actually really good at this place! I wish we could host for free, but we can't. If paying for lunch is an extreme hardship, please let us know.
  • The spot is $18 per person, please send $21 via Paypal to staceyhart317@charter.net  AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT LET PRICE DETER YOU FROM JOINING THIS INVALUABLE EVENT...JUST PM ME.
(Note: Payments will not be accepted at the door.)
This workshop is an incredible gift by an awesome person and attorney Shawn McMillian. Having it at the Sacramento Air

FYI, I took the bus for 12 hours to Southern CA and back 12 hours to get to the workshop last November and it was the best decision!!

For those that are unaware, Shawn's motions are on Families Against Government Abuse...another huge gift.
