9th Circuit come to Boise to hear parent rights case

This is a case well worth following. Since it relates to the Parents refusing the advice of the Medical Industry.. ie not only for the children, but also for patients’ rights..

Do take a look at the listing of Patients’ Rights for Most Hospitals. Usually #1 is that the Patient has the right to question, etc. the decisions of the Dr., nurses, etc.

Highlights of for the courts to answer:
·“When should a parent lose custody of a young child for refusing consent for a medical procedure?“
·“How likely must the harm to the child be for that to happen, and what if the potential harm is unlikely but dire?”
·“And should doctors and police who seize custody and perform the procedure over parents’ objections bear any liability?”
So read the entire story and watch for updates:

What is Confidence??

Just thought I'd take a moment to share this image recently created and added to our collection of "Express Yourself". As stated many times, I am not a lawyer. However, being active as a Family Advocate, many legal questions do come up.

Being a curious sort, I usually like to seek the answers to any questions that may come up. Something that I encourage everyone to do. For example on our Miranda Page, we have the quote:
"Show Me the Law"

Researching the legal statutes is not an easy task.. But if one doesn't question, then one may not find the confidence to defend themselves, with or without a lawyer.
Never Give Up,

From Crime Scene to Trial

Below you will see courses offered to an audience of prosecutors, social workers, case managers, forensic interviewers, law enforcement officers, investigators or child protection attorneys:
  • From Crime Scene to Trial
  • When Words Matter
I am sharing these as part of my "Defend Yourself" blog with why it is so vitally important, that we as parents, care givers, etc. also do our homework to properly defend themselves. We must all keep in mind that the "Truth is always the Truth" and all sides must be given the opportunity to share the truth.

  • From Crime Scene to Trial

For: Diverse group of at least four people, consisting of any combination of the following: Prosecutor, social worker, case manager, forensic interviewer, law enforcement officer, investigator or child protection attorney

This course provides detailed instruction in the investigation of a crime scene and how seemingly unimportant details can become critical at trial. Includes a crime scene investigation to be conducted in the “mock house” at the NCPTC training facility.
  • When Words Matter
Saint Paul, MN    October 9-12, 2012

Full Faith and Credit

For anyone who has experienced the cooperation between states, here is a little known definition in our US Constitution relating to "Full Faith and Credit".

Also below is a video, who brought this issue to the Supreme Court... ie NY vs CT. (Unfortunately, representatives from CT didn't appear.

Would like to thank those that are taking their concerns to the higher courts. If one reads the "legaleze" of the higher courts decisions, there are usually two main themes:
  • The lower courts are not following the statutes they are bound to.. ie acting under the "color of law"; or
  • The higher courts state that they can not judge on the merits since the lower courts weren't doing their job.
Do suggest that one searches the Appeals and/or Supreme court decisions at this link in the hopes they will find similar decisions to their concerns>>

Definition of "Full Faith and Credit"

"FFAC" redirects here. FFAC may also refer to Final Fantasy VII:Advent Children.
The Full Faith and Credit Clause is the familiar name used to refer to Article IV, Section 1 of the United States Constitution, which addresses the duties that states within the United States have to respect the "public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state." According to the Supreme Court, there is a difference between the credit owed to laws (i.e. legislative measures and common law) as compared to the credit owed to judgments.[1] Judgments are generally entitled to greater respect than laws, in other states.[2] At present, it is widely agreed that this Clause of the Constitution has little impact on a court's choice of law decision,[3] although this Clause of the Constitution was once interpreted differently.[4]

Video- Full Faith and Credit - Luna VS Dobson

Uploaded by FelicitaLuna on May 13, 2011
I am Felicita Luna ( Luna vs Dobson ) In a CT. paternity proceeding I was denied a the right to be heard on the merits of my claim. I said that the Ct judgement should not receive Full Faith and Credit because I never had my day in court.
