Seems the fine state of KY is jumping on the band wagon in favor of Open Courts.. Yes there are Pro and Cons to this issue.. BUT, if those in charge of our Legal System are following the Statutes and Policies they are bound to, why should they Worry????

Bill to open some family courts advances
Feb. 23, 2012
FRANKFORT, KY. — A bill to open family courts in some Kentucky counties to the public — a pilot project aimed at increasing trust in now-confidential proceedings — won unanimous approval from a House committee Wednesday after several judges testified in support of it.
"Jefferson Family Court Judge Patricia Walker FitzGerald said she and the other judges who attended the House Judiciary Committee hearing on the measure believe opening family court will boost accountability in the handling of cases of child abuse and neglect."
